Community is at the very heart of our company values, and we were delighted to continue our tradition of our annual Month of Service campaign this year. For the entire month of September, our associates committed their time to various charity projects to help the local community. Here’s what we got up to…
Willen Hospice Shop
Our first campaign brought associates together to volunteer for Willen Hospice. Willen Hospice is a charity that provides specialist end–of–life palliative care and is the only adult care hospice in the Milton Keynes area. They have just recently opened a shop at The Point in Central Milton Keynes, where our volunteers spent the day cleaning and tidying the shop floor as well as sorting the donations.
More About Willen Hospice
The Willen Hospice team of dedicated staff and volunteers give compassionate, specialist support to patients with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their family members, to help them deal with both the physical and emotional effects of their illness and treatments.
Working closely with GPs, hospitals, community nursing staff, and social workers, Willen Hospice strives to ensure that their specialist care is practical, informed, and supportive at all levels.
Willen Hospice were very grateful for our help. Their services are free to those they care for, but to continue to offer that care they need to raise approximately £9 every minute from the local community.

MacMillan Coffee Morning
AFL Hyperscale associates in our Milton Keynes and Haverhill offices baked up a storm in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support by taking part in the fourth annual Great AFL Hyperscale Bake Off.
This year we saw an array of tasty delights ranging from samosas and cheesecakes to cupcakes and brownies! This year our coveted Star Baker titles went to Melissa at the Milton Keynes office for her Coffee and Walnut cupcakes, and Malgorzata at our Haverhill site for her Cream Horns. A great morning was had by all and a total of £516.38 was raised for MacMillan Cancer Support, enabling them to continue to provide specialist health care, information, and financial support to people affected by cancer.
Well done and thank you to everyone who baked and bought!
More About MacMillan
MacMillan Cancer Support also looks at the social, emotional, and practical impact cancer can have, and campaigns for better cancer care with the goal of reaching and improving the lives of everyone living with cancer in the UK.

Donations and Fundraising
Throughout the office various departments have selected different charities to raise funds for. We have covered everything from food, clothing and book donations for local charities and churches to sponsored walks and volunteering at a local vaccination center.
