AFL Hyperscale, the data center cabling and connectivity experts, will be presenting at the BICSI U.S South-Central and Western Virtual ICT Forum on March 25 from 12:00 to 16:00 EST.
BICSI Virtual ICT Forums offer the opportunity to connect with ICT professionals both locally as well as from around the world all while earning continuing education credits (CECs).
The event will play host to a number of live-streamed technical presentations including a talk delivered by Aungwin Tin, Director of Sales, Global Accounts at AFL Hyperscale. Aungwin has been with AFL for over two decades, with prior positions in Quality Engineering, Applications Engineering, and Sales Management, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
The presentation will take place at 14:40 EST and will examine Managing the Explosion of Data Center Traffic at the Optical Physical Layer. Data centers are facing enormous growth in all segments of data traffic patterns: within a data center; data center to data center; and data center to the user. This presentation will cover options that both Data Center Operators and Telecommunications Service Providers are exploring to address the various data traffic patterns.
In particular, promising break-through technologies at the optical physical layer will define a significantly larger foundation upon which to build the networking model all the way through to the applications layer.
At 15:40 EST, Bob Dennelly, Director of Solution Engineering, will present Fiber Optic Solutions for the Hyperscale Market, covering the benefits of our high fiber count Wrapping Tube Cable with SpiderWeb Ribbon® and connectivity.
With over 20 years’ experience in the data center physical infrastructure industry, Bob and his team develop new products and innovative solutions to address emerging technologies. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Buffalo and an MBA from Rutgers University. A noted speaker at industry events like Data Center Dynamics and the Gartner Data Center Summit, he is also a key contributor to industry publications.
